mondoBIOTECH Completes Patient Enrollment and Treatment in the Phase II AVISARCO Trial
Basel, Switzerland, October 12, 2006 - mondoBIOTECH AG announced today the completion of patient enrollment and treatment in the AVISARCO trial, a Phase II clinical trial of inhaled Aviptadil in patients with severe pulmonary sarcoidosis. AVISARCO is an open, uncontrolled clinical Phase II study designed to evaluate the effects of inhaled Aviptadil on the immunologic activity of alveolar macrophages and lymphocytes in patients with severe pulmonary sarcoidosis.

European Commission grants mondoBIOTECH’s product Aviptadil the Orphan Designation for treating ALI
Basel Switzerland, September 21, 2006. mondoBIOTECH AG, a private Swiss biotechnology company, today announced the receipt of an Orphan Medicinal Product Designation (OMPD) by the European Commission for its product Aviptadil for the treatment of Acute Lung Injury (ALI) in the European Union (EU/3/06/395), after the positive opinion given by the European Medicinal Agency (EMEA).

Cambridge, MA and Basel, Switzerland (September 14, 2006) - Biogen Idec (NASDAQ: BIIB) and mondoBIOTECH AG, a private Swiss biotechnology company, today announced the signing of an exclusive collaboration and license agreement for Biogen Idec to develop, manufacture and commercialize Aviptadil, a clinical compound for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).

mondoBIOTECH AG and Nebu-Tec GmbH today announced a collaboration agreement for development and patient support of mondoBIOTECH´s products aiming to treat fatal and rare lung diseases. The first product that is jointly developed is inhaled Aviptadil for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

Basel, April 28, 2006 - mondoBIOTECH Group today announced a new business alliance with Quintiles, the world's leading pharmaceutical services organization, for clinical study management of trials emerging from mondoBIOTECH's product pipeline. Under the terms of the agreement, Quintiles will provide mondoBIOTECH with full clinical trial services in support of the pivotal Phase 3 trial for mondoBIOTECH's Aviptadil in pulmonary arterial hypertension, as well as for six additional clinical Phase 2 Proof on Concept studies in other indications.

mondoBIOTECH and Bachem sign collaboration agreement for the development of new projects deriving from the Bachem Peptide Library

Basel and Bubendorf, Switzerland, March 21, 2006 - mondoBIOTECH AG and Bachem AG today announced a new collaboration agreement for the development of new peptide projects for potential therapeutic use in different medical indication areas. Under the terms of the agreement, Bachem grants mondoBIOTECH exclusive general access to its Peptide Library for screening and selecting suitable compounds for the development of new medications. In return, Bachem has the right to produce any peptides selected as potential drug candidates for development and, if approved as pharmaceuticals, the API of the drug.
