| mondoBIOTECH announces appointment of Dr. Robert Huber, Nobel laureate, to the Board of Directors |
| mondoBIOTECH AG today announces the appointment of Nobel laureate Dr. Robert Huber, Professor emeritus of the Department of Structural Research of the Max-Planck-Institut für Biochemie, Martinsried, Germany, to the Company's Board of Directors as of June 6th, 2005. Prof. Huber was part of mondoBIOTECH's Scientific Advisory Board since July 2003. In 1988, Prof. Huber was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry along with Dr. Johann Deisenhofer, and Dr. Hartmut Michel for the determination of the three-dimensional structure of a photosynthetic reaction center. |

| The designation is obtained just a few months after the opening of US operations with mondoBIOTECH US, Inc., and after the receipt of the Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) from the European Commission for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) (EU/3/03/173). |
